Washable Cover
Our orthopedic dog bed covers are made of the highest quality fabrics - durable denims and fluffy fleeces. Again, we insist on the best quality fabrics we can find. We do not cut corners in this area. As a result, our covers wear like no other while providing maximum comfort for your Buddy. We even put in longer zippers so all covers are easily removed for washing.

Microfiber: What great fabrics microfibers are for a dog bed! These synthetic fabrics are strong, durable, long-wearing, and resist tearing. We have all seen the microfiber dog bed covers that it is humanly impossible to remove the dog hair. Buddy Beds has gone to greath lengths and much testing to find a microfiber that easily sheds dog hair. (Hint: use a lightly damp cloth and the dog hair wipes right off.)
Polarfleece™: Malden Mills Polarfleece™ is the original synthetic fleece fabric that has forever changed the way the world dresses for cold weather. This fabric is soft, comfortable, warm, quick-drying and durable for long-lasting good looks. Polarfleece™ will last wash after wash for many years.
SORRY- sadly Malden Mills has gone out of business. . that is why so many of our beds are 'sold-out". Please be patient as we attempt to find another fabric mill of similar quality.
Berber Fleece:
Polyester/Acrylic blend pile fabric. Special sliver knitting process locks individual fibers directly into a lightweight backing allowing each fiber to stand upright, free from the backing to form the soft pile on the face of the fabric. This make this comfort pile fabric softer, warmer, more drapable, and more resilient than fabrics made from yarns. Because of its rug like texture, it won't show pet hair as much as regular fleece.
14oz. Pre-Washed and Pre-Shrunk Denim :
Buddy Beds purchases the heaviest denim we can find - and that is a 14oz denim which is heavier than most blue jeans. Then we pay extra to have it pre-washed and pre-shrunk BEFORE we cut the fabric for the covers. That way we know that once your quality Buddy Bed cover is sewn, it will keep its original shape after the first washing. No shrinking! Just one more way that our attention to detail provides you, the customer and your beloved Buddys, with the ultimate orthopedic dog bed.
