Why Buy a Buddy Bed?
Why do orthopedic Buddy Beds work so well? Buddy Beds work so well because of the care and attention to quality throughout the manufacturing process. We are trying to make the best dog beds possible.
10 reasons you should buy a Buddy Bed
1. Animal Wellness Seal Of Approval
There are a lot of 'orthopedic dog beds' out on the market today -- it is the hot new thing. How do you choose? Everything we are about to tell you has been confirmed by an INDEPENDANT source -- The Animal Wellness Seal of Approval. Don't just believe us. . .the Animal Wellness Group has awarded Buddy Beds the coveted Animal Wellness Seal of Approval.
This independent organization is devoted to providing the public with quality assurance and timely information on animal wellness issues. They give their Seal of Approval to products they deem to meet their standards of quality and effectiveness, after rigorous in-house testing. In fact, the CEO and President of Animal Wellness has a Buddy Bed is his office for his Labrador Retriever.

2. Excellent Therapeutic Comfort and Support.
Memory foam is the ONLY material known to man that completely eliminates painful pressure points. Buddy Beds are designed for dogs that need that extra joint support and comfort. Perfect for older doges suffering from canine arthritis, hip dysplasia, and joint issues. An exceptional bed for larger or overweight dogs. The memory foam in our orthopedic dog bed reacts to your Buddy's body temperature and weight to conform exactly to every curve and angle. By reacting to a very specific range of temperatures, the memory foam becomes soft where you want it -- and firm where you need it. Supporting your Buddy's body in perfect alignment! Helping your dog to remain pain-free and active longer.
3. Memory Foam Dog Beds Take Away the Pain.
It breaks our hearts to watch our beloved Buddy’s suffer from the pain of canine arthritis and hip dysplasia. Buddy Beds are designed for older dogs that need that extra joint support and comfort. Traditional dog beds with traditional materials create pressure points that cut off circulation preventing blood flow through the joint. It is just like oil in a car, the blood flowing through the joint lubricates the joint. Memory foam eliminates ALL of those painful pressure point -- allowing the blood to continuously lubricate the joint as your Buddy rests or sleeps upon their Buddy Bed. You will see as your dog uses their memory foam dog bed, they will not be as stiff and sore in the mornings after sleeping.
Painful pressure points build up, and that is why pets (and humans) toss and turn to find a more comfortable position. Studies have show memory foam to reduce tossing and turning in humans by 90%. Buddy Beds orthopedic memory foam dog beds mold and contours to your Buddy's body, relieving those painful pressure points that cut off circulation.
4. There are different qualities of memory foam -- Buddy Beds uses only the highest quality available.
There really are differences in the quality of memory foam! What does that mean?
Memory foam is graded by density. All foam is defined by a series of numbers that reflect the weight and compression rations of a square foot of foam. Mors common in the industry for testing purposes, is a piece of foam 4" X 12" X 12 feet square. Precision equipment is used in determining these ratios.
Memory foam is graded by density. It is stated in terms of "lbs." The higher the number the higher the quality and the firmer the foam will be.
Common Memory Foam on the market today:
- 3lb. density - this is an adequate quality, but often looses its memory over time. Many cheaper memory foam dog beds use this foam - that is what keeps their cost down.
- 4lb. density - if you have a memory foam topper on your bed -- it is most likely a 4 lb. density
- 5lb. density - this is the highest quality available in the market. It is the firmest of the memory foams. This is the only quality memory foam Buddy Beds uses for our orthopedic memory foam dog beds!
5. Many Say They are an Orthopedic Dog Bed -- But They are Not!
Many orthopedic dog beds still create pressure points. Don't be fooled by other "orthopedic" dog beds that do not use true memory foam! These materials are NOT memory foam and do not provide the orthopedic qualities of real slow recovery visco-elastic memory foam:
- Shredded memory foam!!! (Used by a large national name starting with an "o")
- High memory fiber fill
- Egg crate foam
- Convoluted foam
- Medical grade hospital foam
- 'High density' foam (what is that?)
- Foam chips
- Recycled fiber
- Batting
- Cedar
- Polyester fiber
6. Our Unique Waterproof, Yet Breathable, Liner Protects the Memory Foam Dog Bed.
Combining memory foam with a waterproof, yet breathable, fabric liner is an exclusive process to Buddy Beds. No one else takes this expensive step! It is our exclusive patented process.
Technology has introduced numerous high performance fabrics that are waterproof, breathable, and flexible -- often used in performance outwear or tents. Our unique fabric liner protects the tempurpedic memory foam from:
- liquids,
- stains,
- and odors.
Memory foam is clearly a more expensive foam, but like all foams, it's porous and will absorb liquids. We use our waterproof liner to protect your dog beds memory foam so it will have a longer life. No other pet bed manufacturer takes this important step. It is our exclusive patented process!
Yet it is important that the liner 'breathe' -- this maintains cushion loft for your Buddy's comfort.
Due to the liner, Buddy Beds are:
- anti-bacterial,
- anti-microbial,
- anti-static,
- anti-dust mite, and
- hypoallergenic.
We know that you are investing in an expensive pet bed and we want it to last. This bed is different, and better. . .and yes, worth the price. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten. Buddy Beds strives to construct the premier quality pet bed on the market - not the cheapest!
7. We Add Support Foam to the Memory Foam Dog Bed.
Why does Buddy Beds use a support foam? Not every orthopedic dog bed takes this expensive step. If Buddy Beds just used memory foam alone, the longer your dog is resting or sleeping on the dog bed -- the deeper he/she would sink into the memory foam-- until ultimately hitting the floor creating a pressure point and defeating the whole purpose of the memory foam. This is known as "bottoming out".
The supporting foam prevents your Buddy from dropping down to the floor. This is an expensive, yet critical and essential, step to make the memory foam dog beds function properly.
8. Buddy Beds Last
We know this orthopedic dog bed is an investment, yet because it lasts it will cost you less in the end. Low quality beds break down quickly and don't offer any long term benefits.
My beloved Webster is 105 pounds. He is still on one of the original Buddy Beds from when I started this company 4 years agog -- them memory foam has not lost any of its memory! Before that, I was buying him a bed from a well known national name(at over $100 a bed)every 6-9 months because they would mush out. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
9. Free Shipping
You will always know exactly wheat you will be paying for your Buddy Bed, memory foam dog bed, without hidden shipping and handling costs. And because we use the heavier higher quality memory foam -- these orthopedic dog beds are heavy! The shipping is costly.
10. Because you want only the best for your dog AND your dog knows and appreciates a quality dog bed.
Do you want anything less than the best for your Best Friend? You buy the best food, the best treats, and the best toys. . .why should your Buddy's dog bed be different? And your Buddy know when his/her dog bed supports their backs and joints, insulates them from drafty floors, give a feeling of warmth and security, and most of all takes away the pain.
There is nothing like a Buddy Bed -- It is an extraordinary dog bed!
